Becherlicht Lamp
Okay this next one, while remaining relatively useless it is still neat enough for me to tell you about. I am all about making my home look unique, and chic, and this next product is one of my most commented on features in my home. Perhaps that is why I bought it, which may make me a narcissist, but at least I have style… right?
It is called the Becherlicht Lamp, and it is quite nifty. What makes this lamp unique is that it has nothing to do with lighting at all. It is all about looks with this one. Unlike most lamps you cannot by this for its ability to illuminate a room or even spotlight a particular object. Instead the whole concept is just to put the lamp beside a wall, and let it do its thing.
This is the only lamp that can cast its own three dimensional shadow. It looks so real that you could touch it. You are free to adjust it to the way you want it to look, but it should be somewhere along the lines of what you see in the above picture. You can make the shadow large or small, and the shadow is not your average black or grey one, it is beautiful filled with color and texture.
It looks so neat in my living room, I have the pink one, and that one is probably the most noticeable. They also come in clear, but that is for those of you that are looking for something a little more subtle. That way there is a Becherlicht Lamp for everyone. When it is not lit, I must admit it looks kind of funny, but I just added a bit of that pink to the rest of my decor and it seemed to flow nicely. So grab one for yourself if this is the sort of thing you are into.
