Bendaroos Review

bendaroosBendaroos are marketed as fun, flexible building sticks. They look like pipe-cleaners, but come in various colors that are marketed to kids, both boys and girls.

So what makes Bendaroos so much better than other crafts supplies? Well, their big draw is the fact that they don’t make a mess. Parents who have ever had to clean up coloring or paints after their kids were done will know what I’m talking about! Paint gets into the carpet, the kids draw all over the walls, on their clothes, on other toys and other precious items. There is no need for glue either.

There’s no risk of that with Bendaroos. They can be bent and shaped any way one chooses, and they will hold their shape. The rods are covered in fuzzy down that is dyed various colors. This coating makes the sticks attractive and interesting to children and soft to the touch as well.

These sticks can be used to create various all kinds of shapes and objects that spark your child’s creativity through sculpture and also give them an opportunity to learn objects and their names through a fun activity. Bendaroos are actually reusable, which is great value for money. One suggestion is to use Bendaroos to decorate items. The colored sticks can be used to decorate and detail various items and furniture around the house too.

The standard Bendaroos package comes with 250 rainbow colored Bendaroos, with an added 250 Bendaroos in neon colors, for a total of 500 Bendaroos. Also included is a Bendaroos Fun Guide, for a combined price of $19.99 plus $7.99 Shipping and Handling. Costs will vary depending on the vendor. The one big warning with Bendaroos is that since the product is geared towards kids, it’s tempting to think they are kid-safe. In fact, it’s important to note that this product is not intended for kids below 3 years old as Bendaroos can be a choking hazard for kids under 3 years of age.

Bendaroos also make various specialty product sets such as “Flowers & Butterflies”, “Zoo Animals”, “Crawling Critters”, “Animals”, “Ocean Creatures” etc. Prices vary from $21.99 to $6.99.

Overall, Bendaroos look like a great buy for people who want to foster art and creativity in their kids. Bendaroos are safe for kids above 3 and convenient for parents too.
