Review of Ped Egg

pedeggIf you have ever had to deal with dry, cracked, flaking or calloused feet, then you’ll probably find the Ped Egg an interesting product. For those who haven’t ever heard of the Ped Egg before, it’s a foot-care product that is shaped like an egg (hence the name). The product claims it can removes callouses and dead skin to give your feet a baby-soft look and feel.

You can buy the Ped Egg online at pedegg.com for $10, which includes two Emory buffing pads and a shipping and handling fee. You can also opt for an additional ped-egg with two emory buffing pads and tube of foot-lotion for just the price of shipping and handling. For those who don’t like the shipping and handling fee- and many don’t, there is good news. Although the Ped Egg started off on TV, the product can now be seen on store shelves, like Wal-Mart and Target.

The Ped Egg itself is surprisingly lightweight and ergonomic, with a stainless-steel microfile abrasive surface on the bottom that works not unlike a regular file. The surface itself is very gentle on your feet. It’s surprisingly effective, particularly after regular use, and the filings pile up rather quickly, which can be a bit of a hassle to deal with. A lot of users have no complaints about the effects of regular Ped Egg usage, noting remarkably smooth and soft feet.

Common complaints about the product are the exorbitant shipping and handling fees (6.99 per ped-egg), the feel of the product- some people claim it’s too lightweight and feels like it’s low quality, and the hassle of dealing with filings. In the end, all these problems are minor and do not take away from the benefit of taking care of your feet with the Ped Egg. Shipping costs in particular can be avoided by buying from the store.

If you want a convenient, easy and effective foot-care product, the Ped Egg might not be perfect, but it certainly gets the job done.
