So as summer looms so does the unbearable heat. For many of us that means we will have to start turning on our air conditioners, and watch our utility bills sky rocket. It is either that or melt away in pools of our own sweat for the next few months. Well what if I told you there was a new product on the market where you can stay cool without having to turn on that loud and expensive air conditioner?
They are called Solar Curtains and they are great. Not to mention, you can use solar curtains in the winter to cut down on your heating bill as well. The technology is described as mirrorized, and the curtains prevent your windows form losing heat, by reflecting the heat back into the room. That way you keep sun rays out in the summer, and cold air out in the winter. Not to mention it also creates privacy, as you can see out, but people cannot see in.
Another great benefit of the Solar Curtains is that it protects the stuff around your windows from fading due to the sun, especially your wood furniture. For $6 a curtain, you do not have anything to lose except a huge utility bill at the end of the month. They are appealing to the eyes, and are very good for older houses, where you may be still saving up for new windows.
